Hello everyone, I have wanted to purchase a westy for so long now and I think I am finally ready to make the big purchase. My heart is set on 85-91 model although I have several question regarding what to look for (or what not). I often see listings for sale but the mileage can sometimes seem high. Are there some simple guidelines to follow such as " a 95 westy with >100K will most likely need these major/minor repairs upon purchase"??

Sorry for such generalized questions but I would assume that there have been some trends established over the years with the reliabiltiy of these vehicles. Thanks for your input!

Kris Estes Flagstaff, Arizona
