I keep my fridge vent covered except while in use. Pictures of the cap can be seen on my web page. http://www.oz.net/~tyg/images/Westy/frig_vent.jpg

I bought this from some guy at a VW show that apparently buys caps at Camping World or some other RV supplier, then sprays them black. This can save you a few bucks off the VW price.

Is it ok to cover the vent on the outside of the westy at all times when not using the fridge? The manual recommends doing so when washing the vehicle, so I figure it can't hurt. Is this sound logic?

Also - any recommendations for wiper blades? The rains have returned to Oregon and my blades have started to squeak.

Thanks!
