Connal; If the leak is on the head side of the oil tube; and you have lead a clean wholesome life; and have paid proper homage to the VW gods; then it might be possible conjure up a cheap fix. It will require removal of rocker arm assembly and pushrods. Next stuff bits of rags into the tubes blocking them off. Liberally flush the suspected leak area with brake cleaner and carefully scrub with a small brush. When dry remove the rags and work a bead of your favorite high temp RTV into the soon to be former leak. Allow to dry overnight and re-assemble. Recheck the proper seating of the far end of the pushrods. It is extremely easy to get it hung on the lip of the hydraulic lifter. Sight down the tube with a small flashlight to verify correct placement. Drive Safely & Good Luck Ken Lewis<Kernersville,NC>86 VW crewcab;60 T-5 Coupe
