Subject: Auto trans problem 85 Westy
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

My brother just purchased an 85 Westy with an auto trans. With the fluid level being checked and up to the level it is supposed to be , there is a problem . When he drives even a short distance, trans fluid backs up out of the fill tube! My suggestion to him was to check the breather to see if #1 there is one, and #2 it is clear and not clogged in some way. Anyone ever experience this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks Tom Czerniak 87 Westy "Da Brik"
