Hello Volks,

Several of you have inquired about the availability of the famous parts catalogue. It contains basically all the part drawings that you would normally find on a VW microfiche. It also shows several European parts not available in North America. The nice thing is that you can resort to non-verbal communication with parts depertments by just pointing at the appropriate picture.

There were 3 versions of the 2WD catalogue 1980-86, 86-87, 88-92. I have a couple of copies of the 86-87 and 88-92 catalogues left. There was also a separate Syncro catalogue which is now out of print and a "collectors'" item (like most of our cars). I have 1 new copy and a very well used one of the Syncro catalogues left.

Here is my offer to Vanagon and Syncro list members only:

I will offer you the 2WD catalogues for US$19 plus US$5 shipping or Can$26 plus Can$5 shipping.

For interested Syncro volks I will send a copy of the 2WD catalogue plus copies of the 50 Syncro related pages for US$25 plus US$5 shipping or Can$34 plus Can$5 shipping.

Because I am such a self serving guy I will also donate a percentage of $1 or 2 per book to the vanagon list care of Tom Carrington. Credit where credit is due: Please note that some of the catalogues have been shipped to me by Michael Meyer, a German listmember who processed them at cost.

Please pmail me if you are interested in the details.

Note: I will be away for the next four days. Do not expect a reply before next week.

cheers,

Björn

P.S. No more redundant mudslinging please. I just had a shower and will not respond ;)
