the buyer must bring the van across the border to get the necessary papers to import the vehicle. the van cannot be registered in the usa without those papers. before attempting to bring the van across the border you must aslo get paperwork from volkswagen saying that the van being imported meats all u.s. specs and lists those modifications which will have to be made(speedometer, brake light...)
