There is nothing to stop me going to a VW dealer finding out the part
then going somewhere else to buy it.
It would seem to me that it would save VW a lot of time to have people
already know what part they want when they call or arrive.
Perhaps its a liability issue, they are afraid someone will quote the
wrong part number.
Also having list members state publicly they will copy the CD's and
distribute them to all list members is not a good idea.
