for those of you who can find some (as takeoffs) the Audi A8 wheel works
great.  it's 16x7 et37. i am running A8 5 spoke wheels on my '86 5000 turbo,
and the difference between the 205 55 16 (A8) tire and the 205 60 15 (stock
5kT) tire is hardly anything, so clearance is not affected.  i have tried the
A8 wheel on the vanagon, and it works pretty good.
