Rico; Intermittent electrical problems are the worst to track down!!! There are two methods to find the problem:

1>Easter egging 2>Troubleshooting

Easter egging consists of making a quasi-educated guess and throwing new parts at it. The advantage of this method is you may get lucky and quickly fix the problem. The disadvantage is it can be expensive and infuriating if luck is not on your side. It seems to be the preferred method of most major car dealers these days.

I prefer real trouble shooting. Unfortunately it can be time consuming and expensive but the rewards are worth it. The expense is usually a one time deal; good test equipment (digital voltmeter) and a Bentley manual.

As for your problem you might try hooking up your voltmeter to where the suspected problem is and monitor it for confirmation. Drive Safely & Good Luck Ken Lewis<Kernersville,NC>86 VW crewcab;60 T-5 Coupe
