There was a piece on National Public Radio recently about the building of the Interstate Highway System. Seems that the chief Engineer, the man responsible for condemning private property in the path of the blacktop, was so incorruptable he even bulldozed HIS OWN MAMA'S house. It was in the way. He never took a penny though he was offered millions for a peek at the Master Plan. Quite a guy. Makes me proud to be an American.
