Hi Ken and All, I agree with your ideas on bleeding. I also feel it is important to open the nipples / valves at each cylinder enough (about a half round) so when you push the pedal down smartly the fluid and air can gush out. Opening just a bit or pushing the brake pedal down gently can allow air to remain in the system in high spots. The bleeder hoses with the one way valves make the job easier and help keep air out of the system. On our vans if the rear brakes are adjusted too loosely will cause lots of pedal travel.
