Tightening the bolt is definitely the first step ---- until the black plastic around the ball starts to crack. Then you're in for a new mirror, though a hose clamp around the cracking plastic will keep you going until you find one. Cheers, Doug '84 Westy Toronto, Canada

If they are the same as our 1982, all youze has to do is remove them, tighten the nut under the base, and put them back on. Took me about 15 minutes to do both sides.
