Hermann-

Our Previous owner had the windshield replaced 4 times, only once at the dealer. Auto glass is pretty standard. Call around to see what brands folks put in, and what prices they ask. I don't recall the name of the fenestration Cover your own dash with plastic before you take it in. Although windshields are laminated, you can still get tiny shards down the defrost vents if they break it to remove it (not un-common).

Hi!

I have to replace a cracked windshield on my 87 Westy. Do I go with the VW or can I use any local windshield outfit? How much should I expect to pay? Anything I need to watch out for?

Thanks, Hermann the German 87 Westy GL "Europec"
