Typical tell tales when the X connection in the ignition switch dies:

#The lights go out, both low and high, but not the high flasher or parking lights,
because those are powered from the fuse box.
#The wipers die
#The heater fans die
#Heated rear window dies
#Power mirrors die
#Power windows die

All of these are connected to the X relay, and when the X connection in the ign.
switch dies, everything in that particular circuit dies too. Time for a new
switch. BTDT!!
