If you're interested, there's an article in today's (Tuesday) Wall Street Journal on VW's unhappy shareholders. "Already grumpy about the German car maker's flat earnings, many institutional investors feel that VW is rubbing salt in their wounds by refusing to take a greater interest in promoting shareholder value and corporate transparency."

It would be a violation of copyright laws for me to post the article on the list.

If you'd like an email copy of the article let me know (please email me off list). OF COURSE, if it would be a violation of copyright law to email you a copy of this extremely valuable text, I will ignore your email so that any copyright lawyers will ignore me. I would HATE to do anything that let stories get into the hands of people interested in VW at the expense of failing to protect whatever it is that these copyright laws protect. (Probably the silliest thing about copyright law is... I can make a copy of anything for my personal use and so can you... but, if I make copies for you and for me, I can be violating copyright law... even though the end result is identical, i.e., we both have copies.)
