You've been on this list how long? I've been on since Feb 1993...and to
tell you the truth there was a mix of tech, fun, AND fluff back then. Back
then the list was comprised of splittie-folks, bay-window-folks,
vanagon-folks and a few of us "eurovan-folks". There was one hell of a
sense of community there...Richard Alexander selling list cups and
t-shirts, Joel had his weakly (not misspelled) list, the California Camping
Crazies and their magnesium burning, bean can launching camping
exploits...and of course on Fridays were the friday follies. I can't
remember ANY "technical" stuff being discussed on Fridays.

Gerry would have kicked you off the list for the tone of your response! He
only "censored" things if there was any profane language, long-term flame
wars, or any discussions which were totally off topic.

What made this list what it is has been the combination of tech, fun, and
fluff...if you want tech, start your own list.
