Again?  I was around when this list started and while the name said
vanagons, we actually discussed ALL VW vans, events, gadgets, etc.  A
few years after the first move, suddenly air colled folks wanted to be
split into a separate list.  Every so often, people spoke of splitting
into this or that.  This list has been around a LONG time.  It won't be
everyone's little slice of heaven.  You're right, folks with a narrow
view either learn to appreciate more, or they move on.  It was never
tech only...ever.  I dropped off for two years and came back a few
months ago.  There have always been little flare-ups, but I don't
remember people being as rabid as it seems to get these days.
