VW uses Calf-turd brown for pure grounds, and brown with a stripe for switch grounds, or grounds that are connected to something odd.

If you're gonna flame me, flame on.

I am putting in a CD player and it's been a couple of years since I did this and I have never done it on a VW (I have always coughed up $$$ to Circuit City). Ground wires in German cars are generally (1) Brown or (2) Gray? I have both and beleive it to be brown, but wanted to make sure.

Thanks, Stefan

P.S. I don't mind if I get flamed for such a simple bit of info, but I don't want my Van to get "flamed" :-)
