Well, as one who has been on this list for a while, since March 1994, I can
tell you that this list and it previous versions has never been 100%
technical.  There has always been "fluff" in it and probably always will.
Gerry himself added to it a few times.  I met Gerry, shared a couple of
Beck's Darks with him while I helped him put the cruise control on the Westy
that he converted from diesel to gas.  I don't think he would see that much
difference now from when he was the Administrator.  This list IS a community.
 It's about helping each other and listening to each other.  Most of the
times it's a technical issue, some times it's not.  If all you want from this
list is the technical side the delete key is real handy to handle the
"fluff".  Use it.
