Subject: clutch problem
Comments: To: SyncroSafari@onelist.com
Content-Type: text/plain

Some of you may remember (tho it's been a while) the problem I was having with my clutch. Shifting became difficult, rather quickly, and when in first gear at a stop light, the van would creep forward. A couple of you diagnosed the problem correctly as the pilot bearing. Thanks to all who responded.

I am running about 300 messages behind in my e-mail and I took a vacation to Colorado, this is why I am late responding. I didn't have the time, knowledge, space, talent to do the job myself, so I let a mechanic do it. Cost $540 for labor and parts, which included a new clutch, as well as the pilot bearing and rear seal. Some day I'm gonna have the time and space to my own work and will pick up the knowledge and talent along the way.

Thanks again for all your help.
