Bill-

Stop breathing. (kidding). Switch heaters to a vented Plat Cat. While I don't have first-hand info, I had a P-mail discussion with a user of one of these. He claimed it did a great job of drying out the inside of the van while camping.

BTW, why are you living in your Westy?

Hi Volks! As most of you know, I am living in my westy (over 3 months now) and with the colder weather setting in, I'm getting a lot of condensation inside. The outside temps are between the teens with highs in the thirties with snow likely. I am using an electric Holmes furnace heater and I'm staying nice and warm, sometimes hot! I keep the top down in order to keep in the heat. My problem is the condensation that is taking place. I will pop the top and let it dry out some, but it is starting to collect a little too much! I'm afraid of damage to the canvas and the moisture inside the walls rusting the metal. I am having problems with web access so I can't get to the archives. My mail server is OK.

Any ideas? Would a dehumidifier work in this case? They take up too much room though.

Any insight appreciated TIA Bill V. "I'd Rather Be Hiking The '82 CA Westy [FreeBird] Greater Yellowstone" "Famous Potatoes"
