Hi All, Has anybody here converted a hydraulic clutch to a cable clutch ? I've got two T25 vans at home, one (the donor - mr rusty) is being stripped to build the other. The donor has a cable clutch, the new one is hydraulic but the pipes & master / slave appear shot. A new cable costs about 10 UK pounds, a new hydraulic system looks at being around 150 UK pounds, plus I've got to route the new pipes, bleed it all out etc... also its easier to carry a spare cable than a new hydraulic system. Looking under the donor, there is a big tube for the cable, plus a the bracketry on the the gear-boxes (I've got both), I may need to pull off the box & change the operating arm. I'm just wondering if I am making more work for myself than I need. If anybody has done this would they drop me a line. Thanks in advance. Phil P.S. I think the hydraulic clutch was originally a 2000 whereas my 1600 was cable (both aircooled). |
