I just installed my used 4 speed in my 87 westy. Shifts smooth but only into 1st and 3rd, can't get it into 2nd or 4th at all. I adjusted linkage per Bentley's neutral positioning but to no avail. Those of you who have replaced their trannies run into a similar problem?? Is it necessary to re adjust the linkage at the shifter because this tranny came from a different bus? Donor was an 87 wolf. ANY clues , thoughts or solutions would be much appreciated. I'd hate driving around in third all the time !!!! Makes for a long commute. Thanx in advance!!! mike 87 westy |
