Mark,
after you find the fuse and put it in, don't just close up and start driving
again.
Run the engine with the A/C on high setting and check the wires and
connectors near the 50 amp fuse.... they are notorious for getting way
hot... and even causing fires.
Mine were hot enough that I couldn't hold them with my bare hands for more
than a second....
If they are hot try cleaning up the connectors with contact cleaner for the
hot wires. I did this and pasted them all with anti-corrosion grease (GB
brand?) that also improves the conductivity. I also did this to the contacts
(male and female) on the relays. This cooled my A/C wires and relays down to
a safe level. If they are still hot, then try replacing connectors.
