Having read many of the posts about the toolkit and laughed a lot about some
of your comments - I once asked my parts man the very same question "What
parts should I carry for a trip abroad?"
He came up with the usual Plugs, Rotor, fanbelt etc with one exception which
I thought sensible, either that or they were overstocked on the
item........I bought it any way!
That is an accelerator cable.
Most roadside repair outfits carry cables for cars, but never one long
enough for a VW van........................made sense to me!
