Or for those who prefer preventative maintenance, you can easily access, inspect, lubricate with graphite, or replace your accelerator cable today in your drive if there is any doubt in your mind about its integrity/longevity. It's a simple and clean job when you can do it in the safety of your drive rather than on a darkened, busy highway shoulder. And once it is replaced, for a long while, you can cross that off your list of things to worry about...

Another thing that may make sense when bringing this cable with you is; how easy is it to get the cable for a RHD car in LHD Europe? I know it is different, and it is definitely not stocked on the shelves all over Europe!
