Hi all,
    Sorry Kate, your question made me remember a question of my own, so
unfortunately I don't have the answer.  (=
    Anyways, on my '80 westy the speedo works, but the odometer doesn't.
The speedo works without a twitch, so I'm guessing that the odometer is
mechanically broken and irreparable.  Is there anyway to find out if the
odometer works?
    Just to add a twist, in my glove box (where I found it when I bought
Sunshine) is the original speedo and odometer.  I don't know if the speedo
on the original went (that's why I think it was replaced).  Is there any way
to test the original to see if the speedo and odometer both work?  (without
installing it)
    Basically I'm trying to get a working speedo and odometer at the same
time as I like to know how fast I'm going and because I'm swapping engines
right now and I'll need to know my mileage especially in the first thousand
miles. Thanks all.
