Subject: The little red light
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

hey all, I was driving home the other day, on the NJ Turnpike, when I noticed the little red light for the coolant went on. I pulled over and checked the coolant level, it looked OK. Well I let Stella cool down, and I drove home without any other major catastrophes. Now, earlier this week I had a similar situation, and I did top off with some water, and the problem was solved. Today I checked for leaks, I even put an old white sheet under her and let her run for at least 45 minutes in the driveway. Her fan went on twice, and I periodically checked for leaks. I didn't see anything. I also checked the oil, I already had the head gasket replaced a little over a year ago I learned about the possibility of finding water in the oil, there was no water in the oil this time. The water pump is not quite a year old yet, and most of the hoses are new. What else could it be? I may take her to the shop down the street to have them check the compression, is that a good idea? Well any insight would be most appreciated, I'm new at this game.

Peace, Love, and Granloa

Kate
