Subject: FS 86 Weekender (wolfsburg) Seattle
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

volkses,

my brother-in-law is selling that van the got me into this. it's a well used

86 weekender w/ wolfsburg badging gold color/brown interior pop-top side table rear facing jump seat (all of which, I believe, is synonymous with weekender) 169k miles rebuilt engine w/30k miles (rebuilt locally by independent shop near SeaTac) new coolant pipes heads are not leaking recent tune some minor dents, but no rust some holes in the upholstery decent tires, but not matching (i know, he's crazy) cooper light truck in the rear I have no idea what up front. Sony tape deck he's asking 6900.00 (this price could be indicative of previously mentioned mental state)

the van is in Seattle

When he married my sister, they bought the van and took a 90 trip around the US in it. They had two minor problems on the three month trip (I forget what they were), and have loved it every since. That was 1989.

Email me if you are interested. I think he'd take less on it, but don't know for sure. They are looking into getting something with 4wd. Most likely an SUV, but I am lobbying hard for something more reasonable for their lifestyle.

thanks for your time. robyn
