I have one of those in my '88, and it sometimes sticks. It's held to the wall by a "push-push" latch arrangement similar to what is found on some furniture's doors.

On mine, the latch stuck so that I had to pry the table out, ruining the latch. It was replaced by a new one, which lasted for a few years before the same problem occurred.

Time for some Yankee Ingenuity. I happen to have a fetish for the *very strong* rare-earth magnets that I salvage from dead computer hard-disks. They usually are attached to brackets that screw into the drive casing. I attached the magnet to the table, and it's companion steel plate to the wall (or vice-versa, don't remember).

Now, that table stays put when it should, but is easy to pop open.

If I could only find those extra-large rubber bands, I'd be able to replace the Wasserleaker....;->

Good Luck,

Ron Antaki
