I just received a limited supply of genuine VW flywheels for gasoline-engined Vanagons, at about 70% off the original price. As you know, it is recommend that you resurface your flywheel when doing a clutch job, to help prevent the infamous "clutch chatter" problem. Problem is, if your flywheel can't be resurfaced (e.g. it has been resurfaced many times or is otherwise boogered up, an increasingly common problem according to my sources at AVP), new ones from VW are $480, and "reconditioned" ones (actually just resurfaced) are about $200 if you don't have a good core to send back. These brand new VW ones are $149.95 while they last. Part number 025 251 271. Will be on the website by tomorrow, or of course you can call or e-mail. - Ron Salmon The Bus Depot, Inc. http://www.busdepot.com |
