It allows the engine to go into open loop when you floor it (if I remember correctly). It allows the ECU to control fuel shutoff on deceleration. And signals the computer as to when you are trying to idle (this lastbit is a detection from the fact that the van will be jerky if you have the switch adjusted so that the closed throttle switch point is out of spec)... dave |
