Subject: Re: South African Bull Bars
> ? US-made at http://www.msdsinc.com/vanagon_pbg.htm one word of caution here: i met a guy at buses by the arch up near st. louis who had these on his camper. he said the shipping was almost as much as the cost of the bars! :( plus, the vertical supports (for the headlight protector) were kinda ...well ... flimsy. they flexed a lot, side-to-side. he did NOT have the winch on his bus. :) so it's NOT a real bull-bar where you can push things. but it would keep the bushes from whacking your lights and maybe keep a rock or two from hitting the lights. if you were going to alaska, it would be a good idea for rock protection, i think. joel |
