Cheap, but used! Let's see... $180 (optima) minus $30 equals $150... But is this a savings? Depends... 1. is all 45 amp/hour available or is that the rating when new? (as a battery ages you will get less amp/hours out of it. 2. is it dependable?.... will it go out on you when you need it most? 3. What is your time worth... if it does go out relatively soon you not only spent the $30, but also the time to go get it, put it in, and remove it. So, say if you have half the battery life left then the comparison is more like: $90 (1/2 of an optima) minus $30, minus $50 (an hours worth of aggravation?), equals $10.00 theoretical savings... Of course this does not include the inconvenience factor if it goes out on you during your camping trip.
