Yes...a sneaky spot for a leak....

It's my understanding that if the coolant tank sensor is leaking, there will be a noticable small pool of coolant or coolant residue in the rim around the sensor ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TANK. ie It is not necessary to take out the sensor to check for a leak.
