i had a '83.5 Nine pass GL sunroof van (white over blue, w/ brown vinyl int) that Md. lister Tom Forhan now owns, and has restored and last time i heard, was using it as his daily driver. 9 pass vanagons are rare in the US, especially GL models, let alone one's w/ sunroofs. I think James Cohen also has one of these identical to the one i had - these are the only two 9 pass sunroof vanagons i've ever heard of..

the brown cord interior was used mostly in the early '80-'83 "L" models (forerunner of the "GL"), and in some '83-'86 non GL passenger models - the latter being extremely rare. tho i do believe if you wanted a cloth interior in a 9 pass (which almost always came in vinyl) you got the brown cord, rather than the velour. I've never seen a US model 9 pass van newer than '83.5, but i heard about a Texas lister a few years ago that was reported to have a '86 nine pass. Not sure if it was a Canadian model or not. think it might have been, tho.
