Subject: Subj should have been... Help for my 85 GL
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Resent with a subject...

All, Good morning. First off, thanks to everyone who replied to my "Antifreeze in the combustion chamber" mail. I did not do anything and have since not seen any drips nor added antifreeze. Don't ask because I have no idea. I now have another situation that needs the wisdom of this list. Before my heads sprung a leak, I had a stuck lifter or two. When I was doing the head job, I took the lifters out and soaked them in Trans fluid mixed with a little kerosene (yes they were taken out and put back with extreme care to their respective positions). Now, when I drive on the highway to work for about 1/2 hour and get on to local roads my "wasserboxxer" sounds like a blender with marbles in it. The lifters are clapping up a storm. After the van sits, everything is restored to working order and the cycle begins again (for the most part, doesn't happen every time but more times than not). It also does a little bucking with some power loss mixed in. Help! I (and my wife) love driving our van but it is really hard keeping up with it. It just seams like there is always something. Thanks. This list is quite a support group. I WANT to keep my Van... Rich and Annemarie 98 Bug 85 GL "Buba"
