Things with American names are considered desirable in Europe, just as
anything named 'Euro' is thought of as desirable in the USA.
When selling a product in the USA, a popular sales pitch is 'its all the
rage in Europe', similarly in Europe they say 'its all the rage in the
USA'.
Often its the same product, and is the rage in neither place.
