Hi Folks

I've just resubscribed to the list, after a period with no van. Needed
one with power steering as manual in my 83 camper was just too hard for
my over-stressed computer-user arms. So, after approximately a year of
searching, I recently bought a 1986 Syncro with hopes of converting it
to a camper later.

First problem is a groaning sound from the power steering pump. There is
plenty of fluid, and no, I haven't done the bleeding procedure, hit it
with a hammer, dissasembled it, or anything other than determine that
the
noise goes away when you remove the belt.

I am curious if other list members have had similar noises and what they
did about it.
