I will suggest that $150 to resolve the issue of future problems from this critical necessity is money well spent if the source is pin hole rust through or cracks, particularly if it is a factory tank. If aftermarked produced, I would want to inspect the quality of materials and workmanship before being obligated to purchase.

This depends upon attitude. It can be great fun to fix anything right yourself. Other attitudes will find this job most onerous which garantees compromise upon which failure to get results is founded.

I also need directions to where it is written how much fuel >line I will need to replace everything back to the engine, as I might as >well while I am under there. What size is the line, and what size clamps? >I am not very metrically inclined.

If you use a metrically inclined caliper to measure the OD of the steel lines, you will have the empirical data you need. Most of the main rubber high pressure fuel hose is 7mm ID X 3mm wall thickness, and sold by the meter. A metrically inclined ruler will provide the empirical length data you need.
