Thanks for all of the responses. The consensus on the labor time was anywhere between seven to nine hours. This job went fairly easy so I charged out 7.5.The cylinder head was in great shape but the face of the block was slightly pitted.I used factory gaskets and head sealer and notified the customer of the pitting. He declined to go any further as he is trading it in.Piece of cake I can't wait to do another.

hello, I have this 4 wheel drive VW with a leaking passenger side head gasket. It was replaced 30,000 miles ago at another shop.ALLDATA does not give any labor times on doing this. I am only going to repair the one head as the customer is a little strapped for cash right now.I do have a very good R&R procedure on this so I am fine there. If anyone could help me out on the labor times on this I would very much appreciate it.Also if there are any hints or tricks to job they would be a help also.

thanks in advance
