Subject: Heater for Winter Camping
Comments: To: "Wagner, James W., , SAF/AQPS" <WagnerJW@PENTAGON.AF.MIL>

Boy, I gotta side with Jeff, and his wee heater. We've done it both ways, and it sure is a lot nicer to get back from a hike to a cozy cocoon at 70 degrees, than to a van that feels colder than the outside air. Ugh. Plus, if you wake up early (we do) sunrise is much more comfy in a toasty warm van, rather than through chattering teeth. BTDT, no thanks.

If we don't have an electrical hook-up, we have a small Catholic (Catalytic) Propane heater which is more than plenty for a night in the woods.

Warmly yours,

Electrical hookups! 1500W Heater!

A better investment would be a good down sleeping bag. But even with a cheap synthetic bag, I've been fine down into the single <<<SNIP>>>
