Subject: Brakes
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

My Mechanic says I needs brakes real soon. Both front and back. He says when he does the back he always replaces the shoes and the drum because when he has put new shoes without replacing the drums the heat from the new shoes on the old metal can warp the drums and cause a pulsating in the brake petal. He quoted me $340 to do the back brakes. He says if the front rotors are bad then I need to replace them because VW does not give enough metal to mill them down. Quote of $100 just pads or $300 for the front for new pads and rotors. My questions are does this sound right? Are these good prices for this work?
