This is my first winter with my 87GL. It had been starting and running well until the temperature started to drop brlow freezing. When starting up the engine up cold, with the temperature below 30 F, the engine misses and barely runs for the first minute or so. I have to give it throttle just to keep it running. After I run it at 1500 rpm for 30-45 seconds it idles and runs OK. A month ago I replaced the temp 2 sender. This fixed another problem I had with the engine cutting out momentarily as the engine warmed up. Seemed to run OK after I replaced the sender but the weather wasn't that cold at the time. Could the new temp sender be causing the engine to run so rich when cold that it could foul the plugs? What's the possibility of getting a bad sender? Any suggestions regarding what might be causing this would be greatly appreciated.
