Bentley tells me there is a seal at the flywheel end of my 1.9. Mine is obviously leaking and before i put the motor in the van, I'd like to replace it. Trouble is I don't have a flywheel, but a torque converter. The tc drive plate is what I need to remove, but how to lock it in place without that vw802 tool. Bentley calls for 65# and locktite on install so it won't be easy. Why do they specify to replace the 5 bolts anyway. These are likely unavailable. I wonder if I shouldn't just live with a leak pan on the garage floor. Thanks. Jay 84 westy that I wish were a manual. |
