Dave, the owner's manual has a chart that shows the oils and weights for the ambient temperatures you expect to have. Follow the chart. I like Valvoline for air cooled engines because it does not foam up as much in these relatively very small crankcases. See my past posts, "Dead Dynosaurs", for my experience with oil experiments.
