I definitely think so. Those pipes are subject to a lot of heat and vibration, and believe me they can crack in more places than you can shake a welder at. Those brackets minimize the stresses and are worth their cost in terms of exhaust system longevity. I am finally giving up on my many time welded original pipes after 200,000 miles, but I have replaced or welded the brackets whenever they have broken. These pipes have cracked for the final time!!!
