I was careless about properly torquing the bolts that hold the plate to the converter though, with, as Doktor Tim puts it, all hell to pay. I was lucky I didn't destroy the engine, I only had to buy a rebuilt torque converter and new plate. and pull the engine, of course. > >I know...not DM if VW says to do it.
