<< I want to install the Autobahn block heater ZVP 289 104, but I need to be sure it will fit under the skid plate on my Syncro. >> Alan - It'll fit - and no need to drop the skid plate at all. At least that was the situation on my '90 Syncro. The catch is that you will need to bend one of the heater's two tabs slightly to fit over one of the studs on the block - when you are under the vehicle it will be obvious what I'm talking about. The tab gets bent back to it's original position when you tighten the nut. The cord is just long enough to route out by the license plate door. Be sure and route it carefully - away from hot things and moving parts - using plenty of zip ties! Doug Fitz-Randolph Yarmouth, ME '90 Syncro |
