A less costly alternate to the porta-potti that we use is a smaller version (2.5 gal?) of the 5 gallon bucket, with lid. First rule is that it is for No. 1 only, thus no need for for bags or liners. The smaller size makes it less intrusive.

And the best part is that after emptying it in any toilet, and washing it clean, our Coleman lantern fits perfectly inside it before we clip the handles to the front table post. Pee-pee for us and protection for the lamp-tern.

Another lesson I've learned is to take 16oz plastic bottles of soda. More than a 2 sip 12 oz, resealable, and most importantly a good detoxification agent at 3 am after several beers, and refillable at 5am when the hydraulic pressure gets too great in your internal plumbing. The refilling device on 7 yr old boys easily fits in the neck of the bottle, minimizing the likelyhood of accidents.

Oh, we also carry a 110 VAC ceramic heater, a Coleman catalytic heater, and will one day install the Carver/Propex that I have been tripping over in my living room for 2 yrs.
